Sales favored railcars over truckloads and prime more so than off grade, and buyers still sought more as the week came to a close. Export demand was excellent and bids moved higher, lending support to the domestic market.

Stefano Zehnder said Groups II and III capacity expansions to 2025 will be 50% greater than demand growth, according to ICIS projections.

11        EIA projects U.S. energy intensity to continue declining, but at a slower rate
https://www.eia.gov/todayinenergy/detail.php?id=42895
EIA’s recently released Annual Energy Outlook 2020 (AEO2020) projects that U.S. energy consumption will grow more slowly than gross domestic product (GDP) through 2050 as energy intensity continues its decades-long trend of decline through the AEO2020 forecast period. Energy intensity is a measure of how efficiently the economy uses energy to produce every dollar of GDP.

Last month, the company announced plans to build 10-15 small modular reactors (SMRs) in the United Kingdom by 2029, with each unit compact enough to sit on the back of a tractor-trailer. The plants would be constructed on so-called “brownfield sites” in Cambria and Whales where aging or decommissioned nuclear power stations are still in place. Rolls Royce has thus far received £18 million ($23.1 m) from the British government, and is requesting £200 million ($258 m) more.

18        The Permian Pipeline Even Environmentalists Should Support
https://oilprice.com/Energy/Energy-General/The-Permian-Pipeline-Even-Environmentalists-Should-Support.html

The idea that an oil or gas pipeline could be positive news for the environment is completely alien to those who believe we should put an end to the fossil fuel era once and for all. Yet if you ask someone who happened to be close when two oil trains in Canada derailed recently about their opinion, they might disagree about the pipelines.

https://oilprice.com/Geopolitics/Middle-East/Russia-Is-Defeating-The-US-In-The-Middle-East-Oil-Game.html

Historically, Russia goes to great lengths to hide or disguise its strategic intentions but it clearly feels empowered enough in the Middle East to very obviously stake its claim in the region – excluding, for the time being only, Saudi Arabia – by stating that a slew of Russian companies are to spend up to US$20 billion on oil projects in Iraq in the near term.
