Salt Cavern Storage of LNG. ECT developed a proposal for a comprehensive feasibility study of salt cavern storage of LNG (dense phase gas) in Mexico for a large Mexican industrial firm. The study outline included economics of salt cavern development, comparative economics of conventional LNG storage/regas vs. salt cavern storage, Pemex pipeline economics, and strategic opportunities to develop private sector storage service for industrial firms and independent power generators.
